People of many different nationalities live in Tasman, with one in five residents born outside of New Zealand. Since the first Māori arrived, Tasman has been settled by immigrants from different countries and cultures.
Racism is when someone is treated differently because of how they look, how they speak, or where they come from. Every member of our community is important and racism is not tolerated.
