There are several different public art projects in the Tasman region that brighten up our streets, parks and other outdoor areas. You can find out more information on each of them below.

Examples of public art are murals (on walls, roads or footpaths), street art (tags and graffiti) and sculptures. Projects are most often funded with public money and managed by local Councils, Art Councils or other charitable trusts, but public art funded by businesses is gaining more popularity as well.

You can find information below on public art commissioned by us, and/or located on Council land and buildings.

The design of the mural was part of the National Youth Week 2020. Installation took place in July 2020.

This Mural was part of a project to reduce graffiti vandalism in Richmond in 2011.

The Mural was commissioned in June 2019 and created by a group of Waimea College students.
