Full Council

Dealing with the full array of council business, all elected officials are members of this committee.

Environment and Regulatory Committee

This Committee oversees Council’s regulatory programmes, services, and activities and provides governance oversight of Council’s sustainable management of natural and physical resources within the Tasman Region.

Strategy and Policy Committee

This Committee handles Council’s strategy and policy programmes, services, activities and their associated projects.

Operations Committee

This committee looks after Council’s operational programmes, services, activities and projects.

Audit and Risk

Oversees the audit of our Annual Report and Long Term Plan as well as any other audit management reports.

CEO Review Subcommittee

This subcommittee oversees matters associated with the employment of the Chief Executive Officer.

Civil Defence and Emergency Management Group

This committee covers emergency management in our region.

Enterprise Committee

This committee helps develop, approve, implement and monitor management of Council's commercial activities.

Joint Committee of Nelson City and Tasman District Councils

This committee handles matters related to Port Nelson Ltd, Nelson Airport Ltd, and Tasman Bays Heritage Trust.
