Joint Nelson Tasman Regional Transport Committee

The Land Transport Management Act Amendment sets out the membership of a Joint Regional Transport Committee for a unitary authorities. 

Please note: This committee replaces the Regional Transport Commmittee which was disestablised on 17 November 2022.

Committee membership

Tasman District Council members: 

• Deputy Mayor Stuart Bryant (Chair)
• Councillor Barry Dowler

Tasman District Council alternate members: 

• Councillor Celia Butler
• Councillor Jo Ellis

Nelson City Council members: 

• Mayor Nick Smith (Deputy Chair)
• Deputy Mayor Rohan O’Neill-Stevens

Nelson City Council alternate members:

• Councillor Mel Courtney
• Councillor James Hodgson

One representative from Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency:

• Director of Regional Relationships - Ms Emma Speight
