Locations and lists of parks and reserves

Council administers 140 park and reserve areas within Moutere-Waimea Ward. These areas range from walkways, esplanade reserves and small neighbourhood parks through to sportgrounds and large, multi-use spaces for playing, picnicking, camping and other leisure activities.

Note that 24 of these areas are not technically reserves (i.e. are not subject to the Reserves Act 1977), but are maintained as part of the wider network of open spaces.  All 140 areas are included in the draft Moutere-Waimea Ward Reserve Management Plan.

We've created a series of 34 maps that show where parks and reserves are located within the Ward. You can either view these by location, by scrolling below, or download the entire map series.
