For urgent or emergency issues you can contact the Council 24 hours a day on 03 543 8400, or via your local Council Service Centre number. 

Service centres and libraries

Usually all our service centres and libraries will be closed on public holidays. We'll advise of details before each holiday period.

Rubbish and recycling

Rubbish and recycling collections will be changed over the Christmas, New Year and Easter holidays this year. You can download a copy of the recycling calendar here. (pdf 2.4 MB) 

All our Resource Recovery Centres are only closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Opening hours vary for each centre, you can find them here.
