Plan change details and documents

All regional councils are required to amend their regional coastal plans and either introduce a charging regime for the occupation of space within the coastal marine area or to state in their plans that no charging regime will be imposed. The purpose of this plan change is to meet that requirement.

Council has considered whether or not to introduce a charging regime and come to the decision that, in principle, such a charging regime is appropriate but, at this point in time, no charging regime will be imposed.
