Heritage Building Restoration Initiatives Fund

Up to $1000 is available year-round for listed heritage building restoration.

Grants of up to $500 are available for specified restoration work on buildings identified as having heritage value and listed in the Tasman Resource Management Plan.

Grants of up to $1000 are available for large earthquake strengthening projects on listed heritage buildings.

Time of year

Grants are available throughout the year, but have to be approved by the Councillor with the heritage portfolio.

Criteria

  • Buildings must be listed in Tasman District Council's heritage schedule
  • Eligible restoration works are either repiling, repainting, re-roofing, replacing guttering, earthquake strengthening and fire proctection.

Applications

Applications should be made on the application form in the brochure before any work begins:

Applications should include quotes and any receipts relevant to the proposal.

Payment will be made on completion of approved work.
