Tasman Harbourmaster direction to implement an exclusion zone within marine farm buoys (Tasman Bay – off Motueka)

Issued 09:30 Thursday 2 May 2024 until further notice.

Tasman Harbourmaster has directed an exclusion zone within the marine farm off the Motueka River. All vessels not involved with the commercial operation are to remain outside of the farm reserve area bounded by the cardinal marks and yellow special marks. Numerous hazards exist within the farm area.
