All sportgrounds in Tasman District are open. However it’s still a bit wet in places underfoot, and some pitches will be better than others. While all pitches are open for weekend games, please use your own judgement about whether your hallowed turf is in a playable condition or whether it would be better to stay off the fields and let the grass recover after the drought. The Avery and Champion sportsgrounds at Saxton Field are included as Tasman District grounds.

How do the closures work?
If the weather is bad we close the fields to protect the grounds from excess damage through the week.
We try to open grounds as soon as possible, and update the website status at that time.
